A favorite quote of mine is from Minnesota Senator, Paul Wellstone, who said, “We all do better when we all do better.” Therefore, it shouldn’t surprise you I’m a corporate social responsibility professional who helps manage UnitedHealthcare’s “Do Good. Live Well.” volunteer initiative. Now in its tenth year engaging 80,000 employees nationwide, “Do Good. Live Well.” aims to decrease hunger and obesity, inspire service and encourage volunteerism across the nation.
I’m passionate about the connection between health and volunteering and lead UnitedHealthcare’s “Doing Good is Good For You” study, which affirmed people who give back feel healthier and happier. Perhaps coincidentally, I was born and raised in Minnesota’s Twin Cities, where we’re number one in the nation for volunteers per capita based on a study by the Corporation for National and Community Service.
My focus outside of work is raising my son, with the greatest hope he will be kind.
