Jan Tate

Biography

I am a clinical social worker and obtained a Master of Social Work and a Master of Education in Human Sexuality from Widener University. My training was focused on sexual disorders and the clinical treatment and assessment of these disorders. My clinical approach is psychodynamic, culturally sensitive, and conducted through a social justice lens. I have provided services in outpatient, inpatient, residential, and partial settings.

My range of clinical experience includes individual, couples, groups, and families. I was trained by the Joseph J. Peters Institute to conduct forensic evaluations of domestic batterers, juvenile sexual offenders, and adult sexual offenders. Additionally, I have provided court testimony with an area of expertise in child pornography and polygraphs. I am experienced with perpetrators of domestic violence, juvenile sexual offenders, adult sexual offenders, severe mental illness, opioid addiction, personality disorders, and PTSD. My specialty areas include Sex Offender Specific Treatment, Child Pornography, Pedophilia, and Evaluations.
