Jane Evans is widely renowned for her TEDxBristol talk on childhood anxiety, Taming and Tending Your Meerkat Brain and her children’s books.

Jane began her career with children and families over two decades ago working in pre-schools and as a childminder, family support and parenting worker, and as a foster carer.

She is now a renowned TV, Radio and Social Media Parenting and Childhood Trauma Expert.

Jane combines her vast experience of working with families with complex needs with her knowledge of the latest neuroscience and attachment research and shares all she knows in her engaging and accessible content-rich keynote speaking, training and coaching.

Jane featured on Channel 5’s innovative series of ‘My Violent Child’ where she is seen working with families impacted by child to parent violence and has also appeared on ITV This Morning. Jane has written a chapter on her work in child to parent abuse for Dr. Amanda Holt’s book, Working with Adolescent Violence and Abuse Towards Parents. Jane also regularly contributes to items on LBC, BBC Radio 5 Live, BBC 3 Counties and BBC Wiltshire and BBC Bristol Radio and Channel 5 News.

Jane’s books are all about making life easier for children whilst also enabling the adults who care and support for them to have useful tools so they feel more confident in addressing a range of needs.

Jane’s first story book with Jessica Kingsley was, How are you feeling today Baby Bear? followed by, Kit Kitten and the Topsy Turvy Feelings. Then came Jane’s book to address childhood anxiety, using a simple explanation of the anxious brain, Little Meerkat’s Big Panic based on the triune brain model. Her fourth book, Cyril Squirrel Finds Out About Love, guides young children to become curious about what love and kindess look and feel like so they can tune into to their intuition more easily.
